My Final Week as a 20 Something

This time next week, I will be 30. It doesn't bother me to say 30. However, I get the slightest of twinges when I realize that means I will not be in my 20s any longer. It's the end of an era.

But, I'm feeling good about this transition. Especially considering this past weekend I seemed to have hit a lucky streak. Two examples:

I've been wanting a new dining room table since we moved into the house over a year ago. Our table was one of Ty's many hand-me-down pieces, which we were appreciative to have, but not what we wanted long term. And if you've been in the market for a dining room table, they're outrageously expensive. And I specifically wanted a round table, but those have been difficult to find also.

Then it happened. LJ and I went to Medina (aka. Furniture Heaven on Line Avenue) for their sidewalk sale on Saturday. We went to see what clothes they had marked down, and I came away with a dining room table (pictured above) ... at a $1,300 discount. Is that even possible?

It's exactly what I wanted with charming details like the nailheads around the top rim and a distressed finish. It fits perfectly in the room!

I'm thinking I want these chairs to accompany:

After eating lunch Sunday with Ty's family, I decided on a whim I would go to the mall to pick up a few things. I ended up at Victoria's Secret and ran into Catherine Zeta Jones trying on bras (her, not me).

She walked out of her dressing room with a T-shirt on to ask her assistant if the bra looked OK underneath her shirt. With her distinct accent, you could have recognized her without evening looking in her direction. Embarrassingly enough, half the girls working in the store had no idea who she was.

Kids these days. I can say that now that I'm almost 30.

Two celebrity sightings in two weeks? I have just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

If my hot streak continues, turning 30 is going to be a breeze!
